  • Attended in utero back when Grace was Ebenezer Baptist Church
  • As he doesn’t believe in “spare time,” Ron accompanies several community choruses/theaters and schools all over the Metro-Detroit area
  • Lives in Detroit with his wife Carol and their dog, Puzzle, and cat, Tiramisu

As Music Coordinator, he takes care of many ‘behind the scenes’ aspects of worship music: creating song charts, transcribing the lyrics that you see on the screen, scheduling all the musicians, and maintaining copyright compliance, to name a few. He plays either piano, keyboards, or bass at almost every service; when he doesn’t, he’s usually running slides or lights.

Who Should Be Baptized

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, placing your faith in His death and resurrection as the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin, then you are ready to be baptized! Your baptism is an opportunity to show others that you now belong to Jesus and are committed to walking with Him always.

Baptism symbolizes what took place in your heart at the time of salvation:

  • Accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
  • Shared in His death, burial, and resurrection, illustrated by going under the water (dead to your old life), then rising again (new life).

Here at Grace, we understand Scripture to teach that only professing believers who understand the gospel and have committed to a life of following Christ are eligible for baptism.
