Next Steps

Take Your Next Best Step

Your next step might be as simple as continuing to gather with us on Sundays – experiencing worship, hearing God’s Word, and getting to know the people who make up the mosaic of Grace.

When you’re ready, we’re here to help you take that next step, whether it’s connecting with others or growing deeper in your faith.

Pizza with the Pastor

New to Grace? Join us for pizza and casual conversation with Pastor Doug & Meg. It’s a simple way to meet people, ask questions, and get to know the heart of Grace.

Discover Grace

Discover Grace is the best place to learn what Grace is all about: our beliefs, values, and direction. Enjoy a meal, meet some of our leaders, ask questions, and explore opportunities to grow, serve, and find your place here.

Baptism

If you’ve trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, baptism is a meaningful next step. It’s a public celebration of the new life you have in Christ and your desire to follow Him.

Bible Studies & Groups

Build friendships and grow in your faith through Bible studies and groups.

Serve

Serving is a great way to get connected at Grace. We believe everyone has a role to play, and we would love to help you discover ways you can use your gifts to be part of what God is doing in and through our church.

Membership

To become a member of Grace, an individual must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be baptized by immersion as an adult believer, and have a minimum of three months of faithful attendance and service at Grace. If you qualify for membership, you will go through the following process:

1. Attend Discover Grace (a casual class to meet some of our church leaders and gain insight into who we are)

2. Sign the Membership Covenant

3. Participate in an Elder Welcome

Who Should Be Baptized

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, placing your faith in His death and resurrection as the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin, then you are ready to be baptized! Your baptism is an opportunity to show others that you now belong to Jesus and are committed to walking with Him always.

Baptism symbolizes what took place in your heart at the time of salvation:

  • Accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
  • Shared in His death, burial, and resurrection, illustrated by going under the water (dead to your old life), then rising again (new life).

Questions? Contact Tracey Krusz at tkrusz@gracewired.com or call 313.936.1501.

Here at Grace, we understand Scripture to teach that only professing believers who understand the gospel and have committed to a life of following Christ are eligible for baptism. For infants and young children, we practice Parent/Child Dedication. For information about Parent/Child Dedication, email La Kesia Patton, or call 313.936.1511.
